The humble New Zealand tinnie is often involved in fatal accidents.
Boaties assume that because they’re only going out a little way they’ll be fine. Maritime New Zealand continues to bring boating safety messages home in their series of campaigns. This time their advertising focuses on communications equipment. Taking a VHF radio, an EPIRB, flare or at the very least a cellphone in a plastic bag. Survivor Robert Hewitt helps deliver Maritime NZ’s message “If you can’t contact us – we can’t rescue you.”
The ad was shot in Auckland and is on air for the next 12 months. We’re proud to be involved in creating this new campaign.
